I thought it was time I checked in to show you what’s going on in the art studio…
I’m currently working on two wine bottle paintings. The one you see here is in full swing. I have almost completed my mid-layer. Once that’s dry, I’ll put it to one side while I get my second painting to this stage, before coming back to this one to complete the final layer. That’s the most fun, part when the thinnest glazes and the smallest highlights can make all the difference!
In other news
Myself, and my co-creator of ‘Kick in the Creatives,’ Tara Roskell, were invited to be speakers at this years online creativity conference for Adobe Max. They’re making a mini film about the two of us, how we met and how it led to the two of us creating the ‘Kick in the Creatives’ podcast, website and the lovely art community we have built around it. It was a long and full-on day, but we had an absolute blast!
The lead up to it was fairly hectic, hence why I have been away from my easel for a while, but it was such an honour to be involved, and a really fun experience!
