Hi all!

I thought I would check in and let you take a sneaky peek at my latest piece in progress. It’s a long way from complete, of course, but I’m enjoying every moment.

This is just the first layer of colour in progress, but there is going to be lots of glorious detail which I can’t wait to get my teeth into, such as the little water droplets on the can and the warm shards of light, catching those edges… *Sigh* …it’s easy o get impatient at this ‘flat’ stage. But it’s true, patience is indeed a virtue, and so patient I must be!

I’m really enjoying playing around with focus here too, namely that bottle-top and light at the very back on the left. This is something I think I’m going to play around with more often in future paintings.

Anyhoo… I’ll catch up with you again soon with another update!
